Trained at Guy's Hospital, London and is a member of the Manipulation Association of Chartered Physiotherapists. Established Portland Physio in 1986 which is now located in the West End and St John's Wood.
Specialises in treatment and rehabilitation of lower limb pain and dysfunction with holistic approach to rebalancing musculo-skeletal problems.
Special interest in acute and chronic patello-femoral joint problems (knee cap pain).
Currently training in energy healing and intuitive therapy.
Cate Streeten DipPhty (Otago) MCSP, MHPC
Clinical Manager/ Chartered Physiotherapist
Trained at Otago, New Zealand. Has worked in NZ, USA and has been at Portland Physio since 1996. Is clinical manager and responsible for continued professional development of staff.
Specialises in the total rehabilitation of sports injuries in participants at all levels.
Special interest in lower limb rehab following orthopaedic surgery. Cate has developed a functional and practical approach to adapt the science of physiotherapy to the needs of the individual.
Cate was last published in the Sports Injury Bulletin February 2010.
Eugenie Halkema BSc(Hons) MCSP, MHPC
Eugenie completed her BSc Honours degree at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa in 1997.
She moved to the UK in 1998 where she developed a special interest in the treatment of musculo-skeletal and sports injuries.
Eugenie uses both manual therapy and specific rehabilitative movement retraining techniques to enable her clients to achieve optimal results.
She is trained in clinical pilates(Australian Pilates Physiotherapy Institute)
Eugenie participates in triathlons, practices yoga and is a keen tennis player.
Paul Vipond BSc(Hons) MCSP, MHPC
Paul qualified from the University of Brighton in 1998.He specialises in treating sports injuries and has worked with Premier League football and semi-professional rugby teams.
He also specialises in the management of spinal conditions and the correction of muscle imbalances and movement dysfunctions using manual therapy, exercise techniques and acupuncture for pain relief.
Katherine Creighton Crook MISRM, MICHT
Sports and remedial massage therapist
Holds Level 5 Diploma in sports and remedial massage therapy as well as qualifications in pregnancy massage. Trained in Australia and London . Registered with the CNHC, the only government-backed regulatory body in the UK. Special interests include the treatment of chronic neck, shoulder and back pain and athletic related injury prevention, recovery and performance improvement.
Lyn Breakwell CthA
Myofascial Release and remedial massage therapist
Lyn is qualified in myofascial release, deep tissue massage, reflexology and is a Reiki master.
She specialises in releasing the body's holding patterns, sports and postural dysfunction and rebalancing the body and mind to optimal function.
Hazel Mills BA
Hazel deals with facilities, administrative and general account matters relating to the Practice. She also oversees the marketing and promoting of the practice.
